Why is mental health training essential?

Training assists personnel within your organization identify mental and emotional distress, coping mechanisms, and resources available to assist in their mental wellness. Our program aims to teach about common mental health conditions to destigmatize and curate emotional health within your organization. 

 

Can I receive continuing education units, or will I receive a certificate at the end of the training?

At this moment, we are not providing continuing education units. However, upon request, you can receive a certificate upon completion for your records. 

 

Are your services provided in-person or virtual?

We offer our services in-person and virtually. We also follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines as they're released, and the safety of our employees and clients is our main priority. 

 

Are the trainer's mental health professionals?

Our facilitators are mental health professionals with advanced degrees in psychology, social work, mental health counseling, or a closely related social science.

 

If I do not see a specialty listed, can I request training based on the goal for my organization?

Yes, we can create a training program tailored to your organization's needs. Please contact our office for more information.

Are your services provided to active-duty members and their families?  

Our military coaching services are designed to assist military dependents in navigating their path to self-discovery.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy? 

The fundamental distinction is in the modality and strategy to meeting the needs of the client. Therapy investigates emotions and focuses on prior experiences. Is problem-oriented, emphasizing the "how," treating mental health issues, and analyzing behavior. Coaching, on the other hand, is future and solution oriented, short-term, works toward life satisfaction, focuses on personal growth, and action oriented.

For therapy, what are the therapist's specialties and approaches to therapy? 

Our lead clinician specializes in anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and suicidal ideation, and a cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and client-centered approach is utilized to ensure you receive care that meets your needs.

Do you accept insurance plans? 

Insurance from Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, CareFirst, Cigna, Kaiser, and United Health Care is accepted for individual therapy with our lead clinician. However, insurance is not accepted for coaching services.

What are the fees for your services?

We offer potential clients a complimentary 15-minute consultation. Individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes and are $160 per session, while coaching services are $125.

*If the lead clinician is out-of-network with your insurance, you must pay the entire session fee out of pocket. We can provide you with a superbill that details your payment, which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, provided that you have out-of-network benefits.

Do you only accept clients from the Washington Metropolitan Area? 

No. We service clients worldwide. We travel to our clients at a travel cost, and we also see clients virtually for coaching sessions and training. However, for therapy services, you must be a Maryland resident, as the lead clinician is only licensed in Maryland presently.

By utilizing our services, you are consenting to allow our entire company to work on the preparation of facilitating training. Our staff members include licensed mental health professionals, interns, and administrative staff. Although Candace Washington is our lead consultant/facilitator, she is not our office's only consultant/facilitator. Your request may or may not be assigned directly to her for facilitation.
